EBP Change Process
In a four to six-page formed paper, utilize insightful nursing writing to analyze the issue of incivility and best practices for cultivating healthful NR 537 Week 5 Rubric Development in your selected advanced practice nursing setting. Identify your selected specialty track and include two strategies you will implement in this role to cultivate a healthful work environment.
Intervention Evaluation Plan
In the case of a community health group, evaluation is an important step in determining whether the group’s efforts are effective. This helps the organization gain a positive reputation as a practical group concerned with addressing real health problems, which may improve its chances of receiving funding and other support.
For the NR 537 Week 5 Rubric Development project, students will develop a comprehensive intervention evaluation plan to evaluate a health-related NR 621 Intervention Evaluation Plan. The evaluation will consist of a written plan that defines the intervention’s goals and objectives, an explanation of how these will be measured, and a description of the methods by which the evaluation will be conducted.
During the initial validation process for this CR rubric, its face and content validity were tested through qualitative evaluations of experts in nursing education, clinical instructors, and NSs. During cognitive interviews, the experts were asked to think aloud about their understanding and ease of using the selected eight CR dimensions with their descriptions in NP steps and student performance levels.
EBP Process Change
Many assets and frameworks have been created in execution science to advance EBP and expedite uptake of evidence in real-world settings. These include models that guide the process and steps of moving research into practice, frameworks for understanding and exploring factors that influence implementation, classic theories that explain change processes, explicit execution models and determinants frameworks (i.e., barrier and facilitator characteristics).
Like individuals making behavior change, groups and organizations experience different levels of readiness to adopt and implement evidence-based NR451 EBP Process Change. An effective way to address the variability in implementation is to use an EBP model to guide strategy selection. A common one is the Iowa EBP model, which starts with an assessment of organizational readiness to adopt and integrate evidence-based practice, emphasizes EBP mentors, promotes changing beliefs about EBP and provides training in EBP skills. The new approach to prioritizing tasks prompted Ozwell employees to focus on specific areas of the business, rather than trying to tackle the entire company at once.
Area of Interest PowerPoint Presentation
Some instructors use PowerPoint to enhance instruction while others bemoan its pervasiveness. As with any technology, the way it is used determines its pedagogical effectiveness. When properly planned and designed, PowerPoint offers opportunities to engage students.
For the Area of Interest presentation, students will identify a specific area of nurse practitioner practice in which they would like to see a positive change occur and conduct a literature review to find research supporting that practice change. Then, the student will make a NR500 Week 5 Area of Interest PowerPoint Presentation for positive change and provide reasons for this recommendation.
The student will present their findings in the form of a PowerPoint slide show that includes an outline and notes page for each slide. The slides will also be made available online to allow students to view and take notes outside of class. The slides will include a color palette and images to appeal to the visual learning mode; music, sound and text for the auditory learning mode; and type-on slide text boxes to engage the kinesthetic learning mode.
Cultivating Healthful Environments
In the healthcare field, nurses deal with delicate and often life-death situations that require teamwork. Therefore, it is critical for nurses to work in a healthy environment free of incivility that can impact the patients’ outcomes. Incivility can be defined as any unwelcome actions such as name-calling, condescending tone, public criticism, gossiping and spreading rumors, rude behavior and discourteous action (Abdollahzadeh, 2017).
For this assignment, graduate nursing students will identify strategies that they could use in their selected master’s prepared-advanced NR500 Week 7 Cultivating Healthful Environments role or setting to cultivate healthful environments. They will analyze current, scholarly nursing literature to support their selections and provide two examples of each strategy in their written paper. They will also include a self-reflection of their learning and any new insights they have gained as a result of completing this assessment. This assignment is worth 20% of the total grade for this course. Students must submit the assignment through TurnItInTM by the posted deadline.
